Lead Acid Batteries generally have designed life of 1500-2000 cycles or 4 years of daily charge & discharge. However, most LABs end up with service life of 700 to 1000 cycles or 1.5 to 2 years usage due to various external factors. The LAB has to be discarded thereafter due to reduced / poor backup resulting in renewed expense on new purchase (CAPEX).
